The Mediterranean Bank Network
Welcome to the Mediterranean Bank Network

The Mediterranean Bank Network was established in November 1996 one year after and as a direct result of the 1995 Barcelona Declaration. It is a non-profit banking organisation and strategic partnership between leading and medium sized Mediterranean banks and is designed to promote inter-regional commercial and business relationships amongst its members. Each member bank enjoys sole and exclusive representation of its country of origin. The partnership is based on the core values of 'cooperation', 'communication' 'commitment' and 'sharing'.

Nine member banks are fully integrated in the network . These include Banco Sabadell (Spain), Banco Popolare ( Italy) Bank of Jordan, Bank of Valletta (Malta) , Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie (BIAT), Tunisia Commercial International Bank (Egypt), Hellenic Bank (Cyprus), Israel Discount Bank, Nova Ljubljanska Banca (Slovenia). The strength, size, market position, expertise and reputation of these banks is huge resource at the disposition of all members. To date, the total number of countries in which these banks are present as subsidiary banks, affiliation and representative office exceed 55 countries.
